It nestles in grounds of natural woodland sloping down to the shores of Windermere where there are boat launching facilities. Only 5 miles from the lively village of Bowness Avon Wood is an ideal base for touring the National Park stately homes and market towns. The park is in a lovely location quiet and relaxing and the cabins have everything you need nothing is too much trouble highly recommended. Have been twice already and will definately be returning plenty to see and do in the area and a great base for travelling around and visiting surrounding areas. Mrs B
