This makes a great all round base for touring with open countryside and cities waiting to be explored. You will find a host of scenic and historic attractions.

For those not wanting to venture too far the park offers a wide range of facilities to suit all ages and all tastes.

Shops are just 2 miles away and the immediate area has many good restaurants and inns. A car is advisable to get the most from your holiday.

Sherwood Castle Holiday Forest is a great get away for a long weekend or even a week. The cabins looked very picturesque nestling in the forest and they were well furnished and clean. The staff were friendly and informative and the facilities kept my children very happy indoor and out. Mrs S
